ZBM ULTRA

ZBM ULTRA deals with non-destructive testing. We are producing a wide range of ultrasonic equipment. First of all - digital ultrasonic flaw detectors CUD, which are designed to perform ultrasonic examinations of materials, devices and also tank tightness testing.
Flaw detector CUD has all features of digital flaw detector like:

  • DAC curves and possibility of their storing
  • automatic time base
  • catalogs of probes and materials (their parameters)
  • possibility of storing parameter set
  • etc.

Feature of built-in scanner favours flaw detector CUD from all flaw detectors available on the market. This scanner provides possibility of illustrating and printing a map of detected flaws (in 2D picture).
Flaw detector CUD can be used as traditional flaw detector and as highly specialized oneas well - by starting another program in it. Simplicity of exchanging programs provides specialization of CUD for performing examinations according to procedures like:

  • PN-EU 1712, PN-EU 1714
  • examination procedures procedures
  • examination procedure according to requirements of PETROBRAS (Brasil)
  • etc.

Flaw detector CUD co-operates with a dynamic data base (MySQL engine). Many informations like: number(id) of welder, examinator datas, identificational datas of welds, etc. are remmebered in a dynamic data base. This fact provides (beside result of examination) possibility of valuation of: welders work, used technology, level of reperations etc. Important fact is that access to these datas is not only immedietaly but also is possible on any computer (for example supervision inspector, owner, etc.). Obviously access can be restricted with password.

Most unique feature of CUD
Most unique feature of flaw detector CUD is possibility of using it for examination of thin welds 2-8 mm also in carbon and austenitic steels. These examinations requires: CUD, special equipment, IBUS-TD method and training. Validation of IBUS-TD method is performed accordant to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard. It provides full credibility and repeatability of examination results.
ZBM Ultra offers trainings in domain of these examinations.

  • preperation for IBUS-TD instruction (bases of ultrasonic examinations and elements of computer science)
  • IBUS-TD instruction for achieving the highest possible reliability of welds (thin welds 2-8 mm)
  • K01/UT20 Ultrasonic examinations (together with The Polish Engineers and Technicians Association)
