Presentation of UDT

Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) is a Polish inspection body operating in the field of safety assurance for technical devices and installations. The main obligations of UDT are the assessment of the conformity of technical devices with relevant regulations and specifications during design, manufacture and service. UDT is a independent organisation both in its finances and technical activities.

The Head Office of UDT

The Head Office of UDT is located in the capital of Poland - Warsaw. The Head Office activities comprise management of the whole organization, participation in standardization works, promotion of technical safety, international co-operation as well as safety and failure analyses.

Regional Offices

There are 29 regional branch offices distributed over the whole territory of Poland. The big number of offices and locations of their premises are aimed at custome's convenience for minimizing the distance and time of inspector's response.

Central Laboratory of Technical Inspection (CLDT) in Poznan

Set up in 1962 Central Laboratory of Technical Inspection acts as a technical measurement and expertise unit. Within the structure of CLDT there are following sub-laboratories: Pressure Laboratory, Hoisting Equipment Laboratory, Material Testing Laboratory, Electrical Testing Laboratory.

UDT provides highly-trained personnel who can handle any technical jobs, which are mentioned in this offer. Our personnel have been trained by well-recognized organizations, such as National Board, and the others. Moreover we also provide many internal trainings and carry out verification of competency of our inspectors and auditors to assure appropriate and efficient performance.

From our personnel you can expect top performance, consistent reliability and high security level. Our inspectors have been awarded the certificates of security issued by Polish Office of State Security.

Technical Inspections

Basic scope of UDT activities covers the inspection and testing of installations likely to create hazard to human life and health, property and environment.

gas and oil pipelines for transport and process utilization
storing facilities for toxic, aggressive and inflammable media
petrochemical systems
stationary pressure vessels, compensation tanks and heat exchangers

steam pipelines together with their valves and fittings
atmospheric and low pressure storage tanks up to 0.05 MPa for toxic, aggressive and inflammable media

Certification activities carried out by UDT are assigned to specialised separate organisational unit - UDT-CERT.
