KKBR - National Conference on
Radiographic Testing
It is 50 years now since radiologists began their meetings. First radiographic conference took place on 5-6 of October in 1956 in Warsaw. Main topic of that conference was: "X-ray and isotopic methods of control in technology". Dynamic progress of other non-destructive methods, expecially ultrasonic method, reduce the range of radiographic examinations. Only radiographic seminars was progressing for many years known as GAMMATEST. It came back to traditional september meetings in 1999. Conference on radiographic testing is known as "Popow Conference" from place where those meetings are progressing.
This conference has instructional nature. It is a forum for personnel connected to assuring quality of materials, weld products and contructions, also for personnel of laboratories, people responsable for quality inspections and technological supervision. Conference's program include plenary sessions with report's presentation and exhibition of materials and examination devices. Usually there are about 100-120 people (including few foreigners) on conference.
Conference is organized by Polish Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostics (SIMP) Poznan's department, the "NDT System" company and Poznan University of Technology. Organization board is directed by Slawomir Jozwiak and Tadeusz Morawski.
Scientific board's president id prof. Dominik Senczyk and members of that board are: Marek Dabrowski, Grzegorz Jezierski, Tadeusz Morawski, Wlodzimierz Szydlik and Ryszard Swiatkowski.
